Plan a leisurely day in the charming town of Leesburg! The day will start with a guided tour of the Winmill Carriage Museum, , located on the grounds of Morven Park, the estate of Virginia’s governor, Westmoreland Davis. Following the tour of the Winmill Carriage Museum, we will have lunch at the fabulous Lightfoot Restaurant, which features innovative American cuisine. The Lightfoot is housed in the restored People’s National Bank, located across from the historic Loudoun County Courthouse. It is routinely listed among the Washington DC Metro area’s best restaurants.

After lunch, you will be treated to a “haunted” walking tour of downtown Leesburg. Led by costumed docents from the Loudoun Museum, the tour will highlight ghost stories from three centuries of Leesburg history. Finally, to end your day in Leesburg, you may enjoy a sampling of locally produced wine and art, hosted at one of Leesburg’s finest art galleries, Potomac Gallery www.potomacgallery.com
