Michael Preston Taborn is presently a Platform Solutions Architect in the Medical Segment with the Embedded and Communications Group within Intel Corporation. His responsibilities include investigating trends within the medical market and attempting to influence new product requirements and architectural enhancements of new Intel devices that can serve that market. Previously within Intel he was a Component Debug Engineer on the Atom processor. Prior to Intel, Michael spent several years as an IC design and verification engineer with IBM, Motorola, AMD, and Silicon Resources. Michael has a BSEE from The University of Texas at Austin. 8 Patents, 4 Conference Publications, 6 Technical Disclosures and is a member of IEEE.
